I rarely travel this far from the Nevada range, but WILD AT HEART: MUSTANGS AND THE YOUNG PEOPLE FIGHTING TO SAVE THEM won the
Sterling North Award for Excellence in Children's Literature! As the author and photojournalist who made the wild horse story
come alive, Melissa Farlow and I will be honored at a BOOK FESTIVAL in Edgerton, Wisconsin.
Melissa and I will be doing 3 presentations on WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A MUSTANG on Saturday afternoon at
2:15-3 p.m. and 3:15 - 3:45. If you're busy in the afternoon, we'll give a small presentation at 9 a.m. when we receive our
award.
