Phantom foals

photo used by permission of Cat Kindsfather

Three things to think about:
1) Newborn horses like the dun foal above -- trying to rise and nurse despite a broken leg suffered in a corral crowded with adult horses -- do not exist in the world of BLM until they are branded.

2) Only one vet is under contract to care for the thousands of mustangs in BOTH the Fallon and Palomino Valley facilities.

3) Despite promises to welcome the public at wild horse gathers and holding pens, program manager Don Glenn allows NO humane observers at the wild horse facilities except "by appointment"

If you object, please sign this petition to President Obama, asking for

an immediate moratorium on wild horse roundups

Comments: I cry everytime I see this. Not even given a chance.
I know, I feel the same. It hurts even more to know that a lot of people, including my family, don't take this seriously. I mean they respect that I'm so into helping the mustangs and all the other animals for which I sign petitions and send in letters to protect... My mom is also happy I care so much, but, you know, I can't understand how they don't get that same feeling I get when I see or discover that animals, creatures God created for us, to care for, are in distress, and I know that I can help, or attempt, to help them. It gives me such a good feeling to know that I'm helping an animal in need.

4,837 signatures!! Great Terri. You are doing such wonderful work for our horses! : )
AAAHHH! BLM JUST MAKES ME SICK! HOW CAN THEY DO THIS?
The poor baby :( Wasn't even given a real chance at life. If he/she had been born on the range they would have had the chance to live. These horses should be able to run free. They're better off on the range where they BELONG and where their instincts serve them well rather than being cooped up in a place that's unfamiliar to them. I hope it all works out. I wanted to sign the petition but the time period to sign it has ended.

Hi Terry; (you don't have to print this: but I was just wondering...

Could you put up a better picture of the Foal OneDay who was born @ Fallon and subsequently "put down by the hands of John Neill ?

or could you add some pix of the Foal Lil OneDay? aka Hope OneDay

I do not feel the pix you have of Lil Oneday does her justice...

there is a pix of her lying down looking around...

where you can see her true beauty;

ps Lil Oneday prob. had a nutritional deficiency;(not fracture; thanks; Anne

ps I agree; not even given a chance
