Real life Piglet Dear Readers, Many times you write to me and ask if how many of my characters are based on real life people and animals. One is the character the orphan piglet Pigolo in the WILD HORSE ISLAND books and I just had to tell you where I got his name. When my college student daughter was a very little girl, there was a name-the-piglet contest at Rancho San Rafael Park in Reno and she won. Her prize was a full day at the park's model farm and small "ride" area and a photo shoot with the piglet. He did NOT enjoy being away from his mama, but she didn't hold him too long :) Best, Terri Permalink to this blog post Posted by Terri Farley @ 4:38 AM Comments: that's cool.i like how you put other kinds of animals into your books. like sam had an orphan calf in phantom stallion. Aww,thats so sweet! K. is there still the possibility that you might write a phantom stallion special edition? you told me in an email that your publisher didnt think people would want to buy it or something. I was thinking that (I mean if you still want to write it) then we should make a petition that kids could put their names on and then it could be emailed to your publisher to show them that we want a special edition. Of course maybe you dont want to write a special edition any more and I understand if you dont. -Zoe Zoe, I would LOVE to write a special edition (I already know what will happen in it) and I would totally support a petition sent to HarperCollins. Thanks, Terri Oh my gosh Terri I would adore for you to write a Special Edition Phantom Stallion! I would totally support that idea! K. OH WOW I WOULD LOVE FOR THAT TO HAPPEN! I MISS THE OLD PHANTOMSTALLIONS! IF YOU ARE STRATING A PETITION SIGN ME UP! VIOLET Post a Comment |
