Free Books from a bookstore so big, you'd love to get lost there

Those of you who have visited Powell's books in Oregon won't be surprised to hear it's one of my top 3 favorite bookstores in the world.
The first time my family visited, we were just "passing through" Portland on our way to go camping. We stopped and loved it so much that we left to have dinner & came back. Then, we decided to stay the night in Portland because we HAD to go back in the morning!
What's so cool about it? It's BLOCKS long & wide. It has a combination of new and used books. The employees aren't just people who maybe worked in a mall ear piercing pagoda the week before; they're knowledgeable booksellers of whom you can ask -- "Hey, I like author blah-blah and she doesn't have any books coming out for a year. Who should I read that's similar?"
It is such a huge & jam-packed store, it's common to hear people being paged when they've lost their friends down one of the hundreds of aisles.
